American Welding Society
D14 - Committee for Welding of Machinery and Equipment
Pays Visit to Stedman Machine Company

AURORA,
IN -- On
April 20, 2010 we were visited by the American Welding
Society D14 committee for Welding of Machinery & Equipment.
The group was comprised of eleven people & included Ed Yevick
from Weld-Met Int’l. Ed has been affiliated with Stedman
over the years & was instrumental in developing our weld
standards.
Thomas
J. Landon / Chair, AWS D14 Committee sent a nice letter commenting
on their visit.
On behalf
of The American Welding Society and the D14 Committee for Welding of
Machinery and Equipment, we want to thank you for your hospitality
during our visit last week. The information that was shared about
your company and your approach to equipment design and welding was
very enlightening. The tour of your facility was both informative
and entertaining.
I think the thing that impressed many of us the most was the history
of your
company and
the enthusiasm of the employees we had the opportunity to meet. It
was obvious that they take great pride in their work.
Please convey
our gratitude to all those who participated in making this a
memorable
outing for our AWS committee members.
Sincerely,
Thomas J. Landon
Chair, AWS D14 Committee
